Day One Landscaping

The long awaited backyard landscaping has finally started! After countless crayola designs and drawings (just ask my co-workers), numerous contractors to the house as well as to my office, and 9 bids later...We've got ourselves our very own landscaping company! AZ Sunset Landscaping!

Boy do they have their work cut out for them. You don't realize how big your yard is until someone tells you, "Will 3100 sq.ft of grass work or did you want more?"

We sent Roxi to Grandma's on Sunday night to stay the week. We figured the constant noise from the jack hammers, workers, bobcat, etc would drive her crazy. We forgot it'd drive us crazy too! So much for sleeping in on my day off. Darn jack hammer! Ugh!

As it turns out that jack hammer was a necessity. They completed the sprinkler system for the grass, dug and set the footers for 3 planters, and dropped off a ton (literally) of dirt and boulders in our driveway! This is our cul-de-sac filled with all the trucks. It's so cool!
