17 weeks and counting. I got to hear the heartbeat this week! Yeah! It took her a whopping 28 seconds to find him and I swear I almost died from the suspense. 155 bpm. The nurse asked me, "Do you pee alot?" I'm like, "Uh? Personal question? But Yes, how'd you know?"
"The baby is sitting right on top of your blatter" Me: "Go figure."
All the books say he's supposed to have moved up towards my ribs to give Mom a break. I guess my kid didn't read the same books I'm reading. I can see this one's going to be stubborn right from the get go.
Traditionally you confirm the sex of the baby at your 20 week appointment, but because I have the coolest Dr. in the world she said I can come back in 2 weeks to confirm! SWEET! She then told me that she was told at her 12 week ultra sound that her baby was looking like it'd be a boy, only to find out at her 20 week, that her baby was in fact a girl. I've already spent the last 5 weeks convincing myself that a boy is the greatest thing ever and I'm totally ment to have a boy. In fact I think I over sold myself because I think I might be a little sad at this point if I'm told it is a girl. I guess the good news is, at one time or another I've been convinced on both sexes. So either way it's a win/win and let's face it, this kid will be loved. It's just a matter of whether the nursery will be purple or tan. (Pink and Blue is so yesterday)
