Christmas Day

Christmas morning was extra special this year! Grandma spent the night and woke up with the Dixon's on Christmas Morning! We had a wonderful breakfast made by Mom and toasted with Mimosa's. YUM-O! Then we began our Christmas morning.

McKenna and Grandma with their gifts
The traditional white elephant gift exchange was a hoot this year! Everything from video recorders, cash and bricks, to Barnes and Nobles gift cards was traded back and forth. Mom ended up with one of our gifts I found at a garage sale! Hilarious! She didn't go home with just the outlandish shirt, she also had a gift card for Best Buy in there too. Poor Mom! :)The J's working hard in the kitchen.

Us and our Roxeroo. She was so freaked out by all the people in the house she went and hid in Mom's closet till we dragged her out and made her sit with us. Poor Roxi! She's such a weirdo!
Justin and McKenna getting the mashed potatoes ready for our Big Christmas Dinner.
Part of the beautiful table Mom set up. 13 adults 2 toddlers and a baby! Uncle Dave cutting into the yummy ham. The turkey was fabulous too!
McKenna and Joshua. Can't wait to see Sarah here next year!

Merry Christmas to Everyone! We had a great day and love our wonderful family and friends!

Christmas Eve 2010

Grandma, Mom, McKenna and I went to our traditional Christmas Eve Mass at Grandma's church. Then Grandma came back to Mom's house for our traditional soup night featuring her famous oyster stew. I've tried to like oyster stew for the last two years in a row but it's just not going to happen. Luckily for Justin, McKenna and I, Grandma also made chicken and dumpling soup.
Grandma with her oyster stew not paying attention to the 15th flash on my stupid camera.

We also tried our luck at Wii bowling! Grandma just couldn't believe that we could all go bowling without even leaving the house! It was pretty funny. Here's Justin, Roxi and I for our family photo. Justin even got his own spot on the mantel this year for his stocking! I guess it's really official now.
McKenna was in charge of mashed potatoes this year. She began peeling early and sported her sexy Christmasy socks while peeling away.

Xmas Cookie Time

Chloe, Ashlyn, Thomas, Emily, Mom, Tena, Nicole and Ken came over to decorate Christmas cookies this past Sunday afternoon. Chloe's quite the little decorator! Miss Ashlyn was more interested in dumping the jar of sprinkles on my lap then decorating. She was loving our little Santa Claus probably because it was the same height as she. She'd see him and say "Ho, Ho, Ho!" So cute!
Ken cut and decorated cookies for the very first time! He's a natural and should look into decorating as a profession.

Miss Chloe so stinkin' cute!

Thomas and Emily did a great job decorating!

We enjoyed our 2nd Annual McConkey Christmas.

Zoo Lights

Justin and I had our annual Zoo Lights date on Wednesday.
They have lots of new lights to see! Justin took me to Zoo Lights for our very first date 4 years ago! Unfortunately our first date ended kinda weird. As it turns out he had the flu and felt miserable so we ended the date quick. I called Nicole and asked, "Okay is he really sick or does he just not like me?" Apparently he liked me :).
It's always fun to remember our fun dating days!

Layton Ladies Garage Sale

Our very first garage sale was a hit! The Layton Ladies and I got together and sold all of our stuff together this morning. It was a little chilly but we had a great time. I even sold my Britney Spears poster for a quarter! It was sad to depart with but we all knew it would happen eventually.
